Keepers – Why Tangerine

We source our beans seasonally and look for flavor notes that compliment the flavor we are going for… For instance, the bean we used in our last batch of citrus sparkling coffee is:

  • Traceability: Hunda Oli Producer Group, Jimma Zone, Southwestern Ethiopia
  • Process: Washed
  • Elevation: 6,400 – 6,900 ft
  • Notes: Orange blossom, jasmine, lychee, brown sugar, honeycomb

UPDATE: We’re moving into some amazing natural process coffees at the moment, Natural process is amazing, we’ll need to get Joel to do a video about it but basically the bean sits in the cascara (the fruit) for longer and takes on even more natural fruity flavor.

Ok but why Tangerines

Our citrus coffee is really heavy on tangerine and we are huge fans of the complexity of the flavor it presents, it’s under-utilized and more unique than most citrus fruits.
